There is no doubt that life in the 21 century is extremely busy and can prove to be a challenge for many people as you attempt to juggle all the demands life puts in our path.

Some of these stressors can be; work related problems, unexpected redundancy, family responsibilities, managing extended family, sustaining personal relationships through the ups and the downs, adjustment to changing health and well being through the life cycle and more.

I offer a down to earth approach to discuss the issues/problems that respects the individual's uniqueness in a setting that is compassionate, understanding and non judgmental. I work on an open-ended basis or for a set period of time with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully and improve your well being.

I utilise a solution-focused integrated therapy approach to assist clients to identify and modify problematic thoughts, emotions and behaviours. I draw upon a number of Focused Psychological Strategies including:

  • Psycho-education

  • EMDR Therapy

  • Motivational interviewing

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

  • Relaxation strategies including progressive muscle relaxation, controlled breathing

  • Interpersonal psychotherapy therapy (IPT)

  • Narrative therapy

  • Skills training including problem solving, anger management, social skills communication, stress management

Whilst many clients are referred by other professionals, you may also book an appointment without a referral.
